Development
I was tasked with creating a new race map with something that made the game feel brand new. Some very initial concepts were considered, and eventually prototypes to create the UFO, which has become a long lasting staple of the Stumble Guys identity.
I worked closely with the Engineering team to try out different versions of the UFO and its beam, as well as the effects it could give players on exit to get the correct feel.
It was important in later stages to keep in close contact with the Art team to utilize a prefab structure so that we could continue to work in tandem.
The level took the game in a brand new direction in how to play and visually, and was a major success in developing the style moving forward into the future of the game.
