Development
An ambitious level in which I was tasked in creating a different race experience. I decided to create a level which focused on climbing up, and rather than the standard A-B layout of race levels, I wanted to create an open environment which could be explored, giving all kinds of opportunities for every player.
I was responsible for the blockout, design, balancing, environmental hazards, bot progression, collisions, prefab management and the design for a new respawn system.
The level uses a multitude of tech that was created for the level, such as a respawn system which reacts based on player height, and a teleportating system for various pipes around the map.
It also reuses pre existing tech created in other levels, like the sequencing system from Monopoly Rush to add rolling barrels.



A New Experience
The level was a first in a variety of ways. Although the wind condition remained the same as other race maps, the added verticality gave the game a new feel.
The development itself also added a lot of new tech, including the height respawn, teleport, and was the first level to use an improved bot system.
As well as the technical elements, it was important to add some fun references throughout the level, by utilizing the Architect from the Workshop at the top of the map, and chickens around the map.
